Join Junction Arts at This Girl Codes Heritage Hack this May half term. 

This Girl Codes is a program of activities led by artists that explores science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) through creativity.

THURSDAY 30 MAY

FROM PITHEAD TO PIXELS

Launching This Girl Codes' programme for 2024 we will mix analogue and digital, 3D and 2D with a focus on headstocks, the iconic landscape feature. We'll explore model making, photography, photo manipulation and projection.

Arrival at Pleasley Pit Visitor Centre: 10:00

Heritage site tour: 10:15

Morning workshop: 11:15

Lunch: 12:30

Afternoon workshop: 1pm

End: 3pm

We are requesting a small booking fee of £4 per person adults and children 8 years and older to guarantee your space on the day. Please contact Junction Arts on [email protected] if fees are an issue, we will be discreet and can offer subsidised charges. 

T&C’s:
Due to the nature of the content, we recommend This Girl Codes for children aged 8 or older and adults. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian. Staff and artists are DBS checked so over 12s can be left with the project team however we ask that you contact [email protected] to let us know after booking your ticket.

The project is called This Girl Codes but workshops are open to people of all genders.

Accessibility Information: The visitor centre is ground level and is wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet. Outside of the visitor centre there is uneven ground.
