Over 60,000 runners make the Great North Run the biggest and best half marathon in the world - famous for its warm North East welcome and unbeatable atmosphere.

The route takes you from Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge and on to the finish in the picturesque coastal town of South Shields.
