Step up to the challenge! Hike the 17 scenic miles from King’s College Hospital to the Princess Royal University Hospital and help raise vital funds for our hospitals.

Walk with us and discover the iconic landmarks, heritage sites and hidden gems in the heart of our local communities.

There are two great routes to choose from:

  • The Great Hospital Hike: a spectacular 17-mile trail
Ramble at your own pace through parks, forests and open countryside. Highlights include fantastic sights like the Sunken Gardens in the Horniman Museum, the tranquil ponds at Sydenham Wells Park, the Victorian dinosaurs in Crystal Palace Park, the beautiful Georgian Beckenham Palace Mansion, and the ancient oaks in Stumpshill Wood.
  • The Little Hospital Hike: a 3-mile family friendly route
Join the course in Hayes and follow scenic off-road footpaths and forest trails through Mazzards Wood, Padmall Wood and Farnborough countryside to the finish line at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.

Whichever hike you choose, every step you take will be a step with friends, a step into your local community and a step forward.

Open to all ages, the Great Hospital Hike unites staff, patients, family, friends and neighbours across our communities. Whether you walk as an individual or as part of a team, rest assured you will be walking with friends.

Your sponsorship will help fund projects that transform clinical services, advance research and improve the hospital environment for all.

Our NHS staff have done so much for us all this year, will you join us now to recognise their efforts and go the extra mile for them?
