Inside the Airbase

Behind the scenes insight into your local air ambulance and how they save lives in our community

We would like to invite you to join us at the Redesdale Hall in Moreton-in-Marsh on the evening of Wednesday 17th June 2026.

A talk will be given by one of the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) team, giving insight into how the organisation operates, what happens when a call comes in and how the crew help to save lives.

This will be followed by a quick reminder of how to help in an emergency situation including a demonstration of CPR and defibrillator use in case of cardiac arrest.

One of the busiest air ambulances in the country, in another record year, GWAAC was called out to patients 2344 times in 2025, including 677 in Gloucestershire.

There is no charge for tickets for this event but if you are able to make a donation to the charity it would be hugely appreciated. GWAAC has no government or National Lottery funding and is entirely reliant on our local community to keep providing it's life-saving service.
