The Great North Run is the largest and most iconic half marathon in the world, taking place annually each September. 

This year saw the Great North Run take on a new route,  starting and finishing in Newcastle.

Our runners crossed the Tyne Bridge twice, ran through the (extremely hilly) City Centre, before finishing on the Great North Road, with the Charity village built on the Town Moor.

Every step our #TeamPercyHedley runners took yesterday made a real difference to the lives of disabled people across the North East, and we can’t thank them enough for everything they have done for Percy Hedley. 

Our vision is 'Inspire, Believe, Achieve' and our amazing #TeamPercyHedley runners did exactly that by taking on this amazing challenge! 

For over 65 years, Percy Hedley has been the leading expert in giving care, education and support to disabled people across the region, and with your help we can continue to transform lives in the future.

It was fantastic to watch the high-fiving celebrations with friends and family, well-earned medals worn with pride and beaming smiles on faces!
