The Extreme Abseil, proudly sponsored by Barnes Construction, is back and we want you to take on the challenge!
We’re challenging participants to face their fears and take on Ipswich Hospital's Tower to fundraise for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity.
Take in unbelievable views across Ipswich that very few people are able to experience.
The day is split into 30 minute timeslots, and with two ropes going down the tower, it’s the perfect challenge to take on with a friend or your team!
Run by the exceptionally experienced Dave Talbot Ltd., our Extreme Abseil is an adrenaline-filled adventure you won’t forget.

We would love for you to fundraise at our Extreme Abseil to support patients and staff when they need us most. When somebody you love is in hospital or having treatment, you want to be sure that they have everything they need for health and healing.
You can choose to fundraise for one of our current appeals: Butterfly Appeal, Cancer Wellbeing, Radiotherapy, Staff Wellbeing or for the ward or department within our services closest to your heart. Just let us know your preference when you sign up.

Time: Pick a slot from 9am
Location: Ipswich Hospital's Tower, Heath Road, Ipswich, IP4 5PD
Drop: 135 feet! (41 metres)
Age: 12 years and over (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event)
Entry Fee: £40 per person
Entry Fee Includes: Free event parking, abseil training session on the day, safety equipment, and a certificate on completion
Fundraising target for Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity: We would love for you to raise as much as possible, however the fundraising target is set at £150. Your fundraising makes a vital difference to health and healing.
£168.89 Could pay to install wall art, making a patients visit for radiotherapy that bit more comfortable. Helping to transform a daunting experience into a kinder, more bearable one for our patients.
£178.62 Could provide a calming space and a listening ear to people faced with a life-limiting illness and keep our butterfly centre open for a day.
£262.56 Could support the mental health of children and adults diagnosed with and living with cancer by funding 2 weeks of restorative swimming sessions.
