Ready to hop into an exciting trail of clues, puzzles and prizes? This self-directed East Egg Hunt invites you to explore the local area, crack cryptic clues and discover the 11 colourful Easter Egg Posters hidden across Chesterfield. 

How it works:

  • The Easter Hunt will begin on 27th March, you can hunt for the Egg's until 12th April. 
  • Solve each clue to locate an Easter Egg Poster
  • Note down the letter on each one,
  • Once you have all 11 letters, unscramble them to reveal a secret Easter themed phrase

Enter the Prize Draw

Email the final phrase to [email protected] with your name and contact details.

All correct entries recieved on or before 13th April will be entered into a random prize draw.

Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt ("The Event") organised by The Elm Foundation ("The Charity"). By Taking part, participants agree to the following:

1: Eligibility 

  • The event is open to individuals of all ages
  • Children must be supervised by a parent/or guardian at all times during participation. This is a self-directed event and therefore not ran directly by The Elm Foundation.

2. Donation and Clue Sheet

  • Participants make a £2 donation* in exchange for a clue sheet to complete the self-directed hunt. 
  • The clue sheet will be emailed to particpants along with their donation receipt, and disclaimer 
  • All donations recieved in connection with this event will be used towards the refurbishment of the charity'srefuge accommodation gardens

*donations are optional, participants can request a clue sheet by emailing [email protected] please note without a donation participants will not be eligible for the prize draw. 

3. How to enter the Prize Draw & Draw details

  • After completing the hunt and collecting all 11 letters to create a final Easter related phrase.
  • This needs to be emailed to [email protected] 
  • Only submissions recieved by 13th April will be entered.
  • One entry per participant. 
  • All valid entries will be placed in a random draw. 
  • One winner will be selcted to recieve an Easter Basket Prize
  • Said winner will be contacted by email from which the entry was submitted
  • No cash alternative is available
  • The Charity's decision is final and no correspondance will be entered into. 

4. Data Protection & use of Personal information

  • By emailing their entry, participants consent to the Charity using their email address for the purpose of administering the prize draw. 
  • Participants will be offered the opportunity to opt in to the charity's newsletter subscription to recieve updates on activities, service and campaigns.
  • Subscribing is optional, and participants may opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in each email or by contacting the charity directly.

5. Liability 

  • Participants take part in the event at their own risk
  • The charity accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, or damage that occurs during participation. 
  • Participants must behave safely and responsibly while completing the scavenger hunt. 

6. Ammendments& cancellations

  • The charity reserves the right to amend, delay or Cancel the Event or Prize Draw where necessary (E.g for safety reasons or circumstances beyond the charitys control.)
  • Any changes will be communicated through the Charity's usual comms channels. 

7. Agreement to terms

  • By taking part in the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt, participants confirm they have read, understood and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
