Join us for an enlightening talk to delve into one of the most pressing questions of our time: 'Artificial Intelligence: Servant or Master?’

This engaging session will start with a talk from Dr Jean Innes who will then take questions and discuss anything from the incredible potential  of AI to revolutionise industries, enhance human capabilities and solve complex problems to the ethical dilemmas and risks it poses to privacy, employment and security.

Our expert speaker is Jean Innes, CEO of The Alan Turing Institute. Jean joined The Alan Turing Institute as CEO in July 2023.  She has worked across the public, private and non-profit sectors to use data science and AI to solve real world challenges, including at the AI firm Faculty and at Rightmove, the UK's largest online property search website. Jean gained early insight into the deployment of AI at scale within Amazon's retail business and served as technology adviser to the World Economic Forum’s Infrastructure Council. Jean trained as a scientist, studying chemistry at Imperial College followed by a PhD at Cambridge and post-doctoral studies at Stanford University in the United States.  She returned to the UK and spent 14 years at HM Treasury working in a variety of policy roles.  Whether you are an AI enthusiast, sceptic or are simply curious about its impact on society, this talk promises to be an insightful and thought-provoking experience. Don't miss the opportunity to expand your understanding of AI and have the chance to pose questions to one of the world’s leading experts!
