As a charity that is 100% funded by the community, your support is vital. Together we can help more local families. However, we can only achieve this if we can let you know how your support is making a difference. If we can't get in touch with you, the stories of the children and families your support is helping will go untold. We won't be able to alert you of upcoming events, local need and appeals for help will go unheard and unsupported.

The result will be that people won't receive the support they rightly deserve. That is why we are asking you to show your support by receiving some if not all our communications.

Your commitment to fundraising for SNAPS

By agreeing to these terms and conditions as part of registering your fundraising event/activity, we may contact you by email, post, SMS and phone about this activity to support you to hit your fundraising target, to show you the impact of your fundraising, and to thank you for your support.

By agreeing to fundraise for SNAPS, you accept there are certain terms and conditions to participation set by SNAPS which are set out below:

SNAPS' TERMS AND CONDITIONS of Registration and Fundraising	
		
(1)	We ask that you do all you can to raise funds for your event/activity. You must comply with all relevant legislation when fundraising on behalf of SNAPS,  further details can be found in the Fundraising Pack that you will be sent. Please get in touch with us at fundraising@snapsyorkshire.org  if you have any questions.		

(2)	You must send any funds/sponsorship money which you have raised offline to SNAPS as soon as possible, and four weeks after your event date at the latest. Details on how to pay in offline donations can be requested by e-mailing fundraising@snapsyorkshire.org 

(3)	If for any reason you or a group member are not able to host your event/activity all sponsorship and money collected must be forwarded within three weeks to SNAPS and will not be refunded.

(4)	SNAPS has no responsibility to ensure that you are fit for your fundraising activity; you must ensure that you have the appropriate level of fitness to take on your event/activity. By taking part in your fundraising event/activity you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are currently in a good state of health, and that you will not take part in a physical challenge unless you are in a good state of health at the time. If you have any health concerns at any time about taking part, you should speak to your doctor.		

(5)	You are hosting your event/activity and fundraising at your own risk.  Any advisory information provided by SNAPS relating to fundraising is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice and is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely.

(6)	SNAPS holds a standard Employee & Public Liability Insurance policy but this does not cover any activities you organise as part of your own fundraising. Any challenges or fundraising activity you organise is at your own risk.	

(7)	If you share any photographs from your event through your publicly available social media profile using the "SNAPS" hashtag and/or with SNAPS directly then you acknowledge that SNAPS may use those photographs in future publicity materials. If you do not wish SNAPS to do this, please contact fundraising@snapsyorkshire.org	 

(8)	 You will be responsible at all times for your own safety, you will take reasonable care to ensure the safety of other fundraisers, and you will comply promptly with all instructions and guidelines given by SNAPS, any third party organisers or any persons acting on their behalf. You should ensure that appropriate clothing and footwear is worn when fundraising. We are not responsible for any injury or damage caused as a result of your failure to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. If you do not appear to be in a fit state to use the equipment or facilities properly, we may ask you to leave/cease your fundraising activity. 	

(9)	 SNAPS do not accept responsibility in respect of your participation in fundraising except in respect of:
o	death or personal injury caused by the negligence or breach of statutory duty of SNAPS;
o	fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation on the part of SNAPS; or
o	any other liability of SNAPS which cannot be excluded or limited by law.

(10)	 You accept that the interests and reputation of SNAPS are of paramount importance. SNAPS may at any time and at its sole discretion, ask you to cease fundraising, cancel the event, withdraw your place on the event or exclude you from the event for any reason.
	
11)        SNAPS is not liable for any loss, damage or theft of any of your property except as the result of negligence on the part of SNAPS. It is your responsibility to ensure that your personal items and any valuables are kept secure when participating in any event/fundraising activity. 

(12)       For those taking part in a challenge or an event organised by SNAPS: participation is not without risk. You must ensure that you are in a suitable physical condition to undertake the challenge and therefore take part entirely at your own risk. The outline itinerary for the event must be accepted as an indication of the event and not a contractual obligation on SNAPS’ part. It is a condition of joining the challenge that you accept this flexibility and acknowledge that any alterations that results in delays, discomfort, disappointment or inconvenience are possible. By accepting these booking conditions you agree to indemnify SNAPS against claims for loss or damage to personal property and for loss or claims arising from your own actions.

(13)	 As part of the of registration process and to enable SNAPS to support your fundraising efforts, we require the fundraiser’s contact details; email address, phone number and postal address to ensure that we have the means by which to contact you regarding your fundraising activities.

(14)	 SNAPS has a commitment to your privacy. The information you give will be added to our database and will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy here Privacy Statement – SNAPS Yorkshire If you use a third-party app (i.e. Strava) to participate in an Event, please consult their privacy notice for details on how the third party will process your personal data. As noted above, your activity through a third party may be visible by SNAPS and the wider public so we recommend you take steps to hide any location information relating to your home address.
