Are you ready?

Calling all fearless fundraisers! We invite you to participate in our hero challenge - our sponsored abseil to support your local NHS hospital.  

You'll be descending from level 13 of Derriford Hospital, while making a difference to the lives of its patients and staff.

Who?  

There is no minimum or maximum weight or height limit.

Size: the harnesses will fit a waist size of 58cm (22”) to 120cm (47”). If your waist size is smaller / larger than that, you will not be able to take part.  

There is no minimum age, but we suggest a minimum age of 12. This is to make sure that the equipment will fit. If you have a child who would like to take part, please confirm with the organisers in advance that your child meets the event criteria. Anyone aged under 16 must have a parent or guardian present.  

The abseil point is accessed via one flight of stairs and an uneven roof surface, which may make the event unsuitable for participants with limited mobility. Please contact us to discuss this if you are unsure whether you will be able to participate.  

How much do I have to raise?
