Join members of Pregnancy Sickness Support's Counselling team for a unique insight into Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) and the impact it can have on women's mental health and emotional wellbeing whilst they are suffering and beyond.

This interactive session will not only bring to life the reality of HG but will equip you with the most up-to-date knowledge about the mental health impact of HG and how to support women who have or are suffering. Owing to the nature of the content, there will be opportunities for reflection and discussion to ensure the emotional well-being of attendees.

By the end of this 1.5-hour session, you will understand:

  • The spectrum of pregnancy sickness
  • The impact HG can have on the mental health of the sufferer
  • How Counselling can help
  • The key themes that arise in HG Counselling including:
    • suicidal or intrusive thoughts
    • termination
    • Loss
    • PTSD
    • Considering subsequent pregnancies
  • The support services available from PSS

NB: A 30-minute pre-training video will be sent to all participants upon registering for this training with instructions on how to watch and reflections to note. Please ensure that you have the time to watch this video before attending. 

A CPD certificate of completion will be sent to all attendees.

All proceeds of this event go towards the running costs of the Pregnancy Sickness Support Counselling services.
