The Irish Injured Jockeys are thrilled to announce that The Corinthian Challenge Charity Race is set to take place once again this year, on Friday, June 26th, 2026, during the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Festival at The Curragh Racecourse.

Since its inception in 2016, the event has raised over €600k for Irish Injured Jockeys. Participants who apply to ride in the race will not only get to immerse themselves in the world of horse racing but also contribute to a noble cause.  The event promises a thrilling and unforgettable experience as they experience firsthand what it takes to be a jockey. The bond formed between riders, the exhilaration of the race, and the satisfaction of making a difference by supporting Irish Injured Jockeys make this opportunity truly special.

To participate in this charity race series, each rider is asked to raise a minimum of €3,000 through sponsorship and/or fundraising.  All funds raised will go to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.  The Series is limited to non professional riders and those who have an A1 licence can apply once they have no more than five winners.

The Corinthian challenge has been labelled by previous participants as “exhilarating”, “the most amazing experience of my life”, “thrilling”, “the ultimate personal test”, and “a dream come true.”
