The annual five mile run follows a route which, apart from the final mile, is nearly all on footpaths on and around Arbrook Common. Only moderate hills are encountered.
For 2023 the course has been improved by avoiding the short section on the main road (Copsem Lane), as well as the narrow path from the road, and the car park. The course now takes full advantage of the pathways of Arbrook Common to provide a beautiful run through the woods of Claygate. The final section is unchanged, and overall the course maintains the same footpath/road balance as in previous years. The run starts and finishes at Claygate Recreation Ground and features chip to chip timing.
