Saturday 11th of July – Bamburgh Castle to Alnmouth Coastal Walk

Join us on Saturday 11th of July a spectacular coastal walk from Bamburgh Castle to Alnmouth! This stunning coastal walk is approximately 20 miles and follows the Northumberland Coast Path.  You will walk through pretty coastal villages such as Craster, Bamburgh, Alnmouth and Seahouses, take in the ancient ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle and walk alongside the sandy bays of Beadnell and Embleton. There’s a chance you’ll see an abundance of wildlife and you certainly won’t be short of photo opportunities!

The walk itself is flat and includes coastal, beach, farm fields and some minor roads. It may be boggy in places depending on the weather so make sure you wear trail shoes or walking boots. We'll be praying for sunshine, however, you may want to bring your waterproofs and sunscreen so you are prepared for both. You never know with the UK weather in summer! 

There are public toilets at Seahouses, Beadnell, Low Newton-by-the-Sea and Craster.

Meeting points and exact timings will be sent over once you’ve registered, however, we are planning to meet at 7.45am and should finish by 7.00pm.

£55 to register with a pledge to raise £250.

  • Bus to the start point from the meeting carpark (information will be sent over once you've registered) 
  • Refreshments throughout the day from the Chuf team at various meeting points
