Am I able to partake in a skydive?
Age Restrictions:
To complete a tandem skydive you must be over the age of 16.
If you are aged over 70 or have a physically disability this won’t necessarily stop you from taking part in a skydive. You will however, need to contact the centre to arrange an assessment with our Chief Instructor before proceeding further with the booking.
Weight Restrictions:
Males 8 stone to 15 stone,
Females 8 stone to 13 stone.
BMI will be taken into account so please phone if you are under or over these limits as you may still be able to jump. Anybody exceding 95kg will be unable to purchase any of the handy cam packages due to safety reasons.
Medical Issues:
If you have a pre disposing medical problem, you must have the 115 declaration of fitness form signed and stamped by the GP or hospital consultant before committing to the skydive.
How high do I jump from?
You will jump from 11,000ft. You can upgrade to 15,000ft on the day only for an additional £25.00.
Am I insured?
You will automatically be covered by the British Parachute Association, which is a third party insurance for up to £2,000,000. This however does not cover personal injury. Should you wish to arrange further insurance please visit our website or ask for information when booking.
How much training do I get for a tandem jump?
You will receive a minimum of 20 mins training before your jump from one of the Tandem Instructors.
What should I wear to do my skydive?
Comfortable casual/sports clothing is advised with pumps/training type shoes that can be laced up securely. Please no boots.
Can I bring spectators?
Yes you can but please be aware that this could be an all day event and spectators could get bored very quickly. Please make them aware of this. If you bring small children, there is not a lot for them to do and can become restless very quickly, if you are waiting a long time to jump.
Can we bring our dog?
Dogs are permitted as long as they stay on a lead and within the dog area for spectators – please note the owner is responsible for the dog and please do not bring your dog if they are sensitive to loud noises – the aircraft is very loud.
Is there a cafe on site?
Yes there is, serving hot and cold snacks all day, and a large picnic area.
Can I have the jump videoed?
Yes you can. The cost for video and stills is £120. You get your own personal camera man to video your experience and give you anything from 80 to 120 high quality images.
What happens if my jump is cancelled?
If your jump is cancelled, you will be asked to rearrange the jump as soon as possible.
