On 29th November 2023, the UN anounced their formal acknowledgement of a day dedicated to a rare disease. In a groundbreaking moment for the Duchenne community, 7th September will be officially observed annually from 2024.
The 7th September each year is World Duchenne Awareness Day.
To honour the 79 exons on the dystrophin gene, take on the number 79 however you want to in the month of September. 0.79, 7.9, 79, 790....you choose! Do it on your own, or as a team with friends and family.
