The Cause

A Masjid is the heart of any Muslim community. It allows people to gather for prayer and come together in celebration and mourning. It is a centre of learning for people of all ages.

In deprived communities these communal centres, due to their very limited resources are often non-existent or built from a temporary structure with little protection from the scorching sun.

We construct Masjids and Madrassahs to allow Muslims to worship and flourish as well as to promote Islamic education amongst the next generation.

Through the funds raised Muslim Charity shall be supporting the construction of Masjids and Maddrassahs in Africa.

Muslim Charity has so far helped construct 72 Masjids in Pakistan, Somalia, Kenya, Malawi and Gambia. Last year alone, we built 3 Masjids and 4 Madrassahs in Gambia, 3 Masjids and 4 Madrassahs in Kenya and 19 Madrassahs in Somalia.
