Have you ever intervened after witnessing something? What happened?

Ever felt like you wanted to, or should, intervene, but didn’t? What stopped you?

Bystander Intervention means recognising a negative situation and responding in a way that can stop or de-escalate it.

We believe that everyone should feel safe and that we all have a role to play in making that happen.

Do you want to learn more about being an active bystander and safely challenge inappropriate behaviour?

These free workshops aim to increase your confidence and empower you to become an active and effective bystander and help #BreakTheCycle of sexual abuse, abusive relationships, & harassment.

You will learn:

  • The role of a Bystander
  • What is domestic & sexual abuse and harassment?
  • Why do people not intervene?
  • What influences our decision to intervene or not?
  • Safe intervention and scenario-based learning
  • How to help, support and report.
