Join us on Tuesday 12 July 2022, for a fascinating blend of attractions from the past, at The Heritage Park, Pitstone Green Museum; based in the once redundant buildings of an old Victorian farm, nestling in the shadow of Ivinghoe Beacon, our guided tour will capture the spirit of a bygone age.

Our knowledgeable tour guide, starting at 10:30am, will introduce us to some of the 30 exhibition areas based in the old Victorian farm. We will have the enviable opportunity to experience farming equipment, with demonstrations of skills such as pottery, lace making, basket weaving, blacksmithing, and so much more. We can enjoy the 1940’s room, a Lancaster Bomber cockpit, and vintage radios etc. There are some fascinating model railways and working model engines for any train enthusiasts, and there is even a print shop, to show us how it was done before computers came along.

Transportation: Volunteer transport may be provided for a small donation towards the rising cost of fuel. Please let us know at time of booking if you require help with transport.

The farm was largely built by the Countess of Bridgewater and has been occupied by the Hawkins family since 1808, before most of the farm was built in 1830. Located in Vicarage Road, opposite the Memorial Hall, the Collection is housed in farm buildings, which have remained unaltered since the farm was built. Many of the implements and machinery exhibited are those that were used during the working lifetime of this farm.

It is run entirely by volunteers to educate and entertain the public and give many hours of enjoyment to people of all ages.

We look forward to welcoming you and hopefully some new faces from the local area.
