Basingstoke - On the Edge Walk

The 'Edgelands' of our towns and cities could play a vital role in tackling the nature and climate crisis- supporting wildlife, sustaining local food systems , sheilding communities from flooding and heat , and offering millions of people access to nature close to home.
Join us for a 'Edgeland' walk in Basingstoke' , a 7.5 mile walk to discover the beautiful North Hampshire Downs countryside just a short stroll from the heart of Basingstoke .

Starting from Orchard cafe in Basingstoke War Memorial Park the full walk will be in three sections:
- War Memorial Park to Cliddesden Village Hall 2.4 miles
- A loop from the village hall to Farleigh Church 2.5 miles - taking in the site of the proposed Upper Swallick Garden Village
- Cliddesden Village Hall to the War Memorial Park 2.4 miles .
You can join us for the full 7.5 mile walk , starting at 10.30am and finishing around 4pm at the War Memorial Park in Basingstoke .
Or if you prefer a shorter walk join us at 12.30pm when we will be setting off from Cliddesden Village Hall , for the shorter walk you can park at the Village Hall RG25 2JQ.

The walk is suitable for adults and children over 14 years of age.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times .
Toilets will be availble at the War Memorial Park and at Cliddesden Village Hall.
Refreshments - teas / coffees/ soft drinks and cakes will be availble at Cliddesden Village Hall - donations to STANHD
