The British Racing School's Charity Family Fun Day

Saturday 20th July 2024

10am - 4pm

Join us for a fun-filled day for all the family and help us raise funds for The British Racing School and Newmarket Pony Academy!  

Your ticket includes:

  • A packed programme of equine events in our outdoor arena, kindly sponsored by Tattersalls, such as showjumping, ex-racehorse displays, ex-racehorse meet and greets and Shetland Racing!
  • A fun dog show with lots of categories to enter
  • Free craft activities for children  

Optional extras:

  • VIP tour with goody bag! - £10 (more information and tickets available to purchase once you purchase a Family Fun Day ticket, below)
  • Pony rides for children - £6 (Due to high demand, pre-booking is essential to guarantee a pony ride this year. More information and pre-booked slots available to purchase once you purchase a Family Fun Day ticket, below)
  • Merchandise pre-order, ready for you to collect on the day

  • Food from Otis Breading, Pizza Passione, Grab a Burger and others! 
  • Drinks from our beer tent and bar - Humber Doucy Brewing Company
  • Have a go on our racehorse simulator!
  • Facepainting 
  • Bouncy castle 
  • Biscuit decorating
  • A wide range of local craft and business stalls
  • And many more activities to be announced...

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome so no need to leave them behind! Why not enter them into our fun dog show on the day?

We will be able to take card payments on the day but please bring cash in the event of technical difficulties or long queues. 

Plenty of free parking is available on site. 

All funds raised will go towards our work with children, young people and caring for our 70 resident horses and 9 ponies.

The British Racing School is a charity delivering world class education for young people wanting to access careers in horseracing, from our 120 acre site in Newmarket. Our mission is to make the horse racing industry accessible for all young people, regardless of their background or experience with horses. In the last four decades, we have trained over 4,000 young people; equipping them with the skills to excel in Britain's second biggest spectator sport. We are also home to the Newmarket Pony Academy, a community project which uses horses and ponies to positively affect mental health and well-being of children aged 8-14 in Newmarket and its neighbouring communities.
