The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust, in partnership with the University of Liverpool and Everton in the Community, is excited to announce the Aortic Futures Careers Day!

This event is designed to promote diversity in biomedical sciences by inspiring underrepresented communities to explore careers in medical research. We are inviting schools in Liverpool to bring their students interested in science aged between 14 – 16 years old to attend this unique and informative event.

 

Learning Opportunities

  • What is an Aortic Dissection?
  • How can we protect our Cardiovascular Health?
  • What happens with open heart surgery?
  • What materials can be safely used to replace diseased tissue in the lab?
  • What are biotechnology companies developing to tackle cardiovascular disease?

 

Places must be booked in advance.

Slots run for 45 minutes from:

Morning sessions: 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am

Afternoon sessions: 1.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm
