No one wants to be in A&E but our local NHS teams provide exceptional care whenever someone needs them most. They do this even in the most difficult circumstances.

Our A&E staff members are constantly on the go with some covering an astounding 11 miles during their busiest shift. That’s why we’re challenging our community to see if they can go the distance for 30 days to support our emergency and urgent care teams.

You can take on the A&E Shift Challenge in three ways:

  • walk 10,000 steps every day
  • cycle 10km every day
  • run 10km every week

Tackle the A&E Night Shift

Alternatively, if a distance challenge isn't for you but would still like to show your support for your local emergency and urgent care teams, we’d still love you to get involved by tackling the A&E Night Shift.

We’ve come up with loads of fun ways you can raise funds for A&E in 2024. Whether it’s hosting a dinner party or a gaming streamathon, be sure to sign up to the challenge and download our night shift fundraising ideas to help you get started!

By making a donation you could help fund impactful projects to improve the experience in our emergency department. Gifts will always go where they are most needed to support staff, patients and ground-breaking research, helping us go further, faster, for all.
