We are pleased to announce the return of BORN 2 RUN EVENTS' - Award winning ACTI-SNACK RUN FOREST RUN WINTER RACE SERIES. This year runners will have the choice of two distances, 10K or 5K.

Gosford 5K/10K is the 2nd race in the Run Forest Run Series.   Gosford Forest Park comprises some 240 hectares of diverse woodland and open parkland and is set in gentle rolling drumlin countryside.  The course is a mixture of road and forest track taking you through dense woodland and past Gosford Castle which has featured in Game of Thrones. Markethill is easily accessible from the South and is approximately 15 minutes from Newry on the road to Armagh.  Please note that Armagh Antrim & Banbridge Council charge £5 per car for entrance to the venue. 

PLEASE NOTE ALL ENTRIES ARE POSTAL SO YOU NEED TO CHOOSE EITHER NI OR ROI POSTAL OPTION.

 If entering another runner/s please note race bibs are sent to participants separately so each are required to pay for postage.   

Runners who complete 5 out of 6 races will receive a commemorative Tshirt. You will be asked your t-shirt size on the Antrim and Castlewellan race registration.  You only need to complete this question once on whichever registration is your 5^th race entry. 

There are prizes for overall series winners in the 10K and 5K and age category prizes.  In order to qualify you need to run 5 out of 6 races and should you complete all 6 races we will use your 5 fastest times to calculate results.  After each race please make sure your result is listed on the published race results.  

Runners receive a different bespoke medal at each race and those who complete all 6 races will be awarded a bonus medal at the last race in Castlewellan.  

If you wish to enter the series in one go please return to website and choose race page entitled: ACTI-SNACK RUN FOREST RUN - ENTER COMPLETE SERIES.  The first 400 runners who enter all the races at once will receive a FREE PREMIUM GOODY BAG to be collected at the Minnowburn event.  (This option closes on Wednesday 22nd  October 2025). 

BORN2RUN Events have teamed up with Cancer Fund for Children as charity partner for the ACTI-SNACK RUN FOREST RUN race series.
