About GOAL
GOAL Global supports communities hit hardest by conflict, poverty, and climate change. We save lives in emergencies and help people build long-term resilience. From healthcare to livelihoods, GOAL's work empowers those most at risk.
For 48 years, GOAL has stepped into each new year with the aim of expanding our life-saving humanitarian aid and development work across the globe.
But in mid-January 2025, and in the span of just 24 hours, everything changed. The world’s largest humanitarian donor, USAID, cut off ALL funding to hundreds of aid agencies, including GOAL. And soon after, other major donors in other countries announced significant cuts to foreign aid budgets.
For our teams on the front lines of poverty and injustice, this rapid reduction in funding means facing impossible choices and while the full impact may not yet be visible to the world, in time, it will reveal a humanitarian crisis of staggering proportions.
We are working around the clock to find ways to fill the resulting gaps and this is why we urgently need your support. By participating in the 95KMs in June challenge, you can help us raise vital funds to sustain our life-saving programmes, continue long-term

Join the 95KM in JUNE Challenge: Move for Change, Move for Good, Move Your Way
This June, take on a powerful journey through one of the harshest regions on Earth—Afar, Ethiopia. The 95km distance through our virtual trail through Afar, representing both the challenges and the strength of the communities that GOAL supports. Along the route, you’ll hit four major milestones, each showcasing the real-world impact of GOAL’s life-changing programmes in health, nutrition, livelihoods, and emergency response across 13 countries
We’re inviting YOU to be part of our GOAL 95KM in JUNE Challenge.
It’s a virtual event where you can walk, jog, run, or roll your way through a 95km route at your own pace anytime between Sun 1st – Mon 30th June 2025.
This is YOUR Challenge, YOUR Way.
Whether you’re hiking scenic trails, cycling around your neighbourhood, or walking in your local park, you can complete the distance on your terms. Log your miles manually or connect your Strava account to automatically track your progress. Our interactive digital map will guide you along the route, unlocking exclusive updates and stories from GOAL’s work at each milestone.
