Can you walk 7.5 miles for 75 years of NHS Care? 

Come and join us as we walk between two of our hospitals to celebrate the 75th birthday of the NHS on the evening of the 5th of July. 

We will be leaving Clifton Hospital at 5:30 and heading along Clifton Drive, past the Hampton by Hilton hotel, cutting up through Waterloo Road past Notrianni’s and The Waterloo Music Venue.  We will cross over (carefully) to Preston New Road and down East Park drive to Blackpool Victoria Hospital Outpatients building.

REGISTRATION: 

This walk is open to all and please remember that you are representing the NHS during this walk so please ensure that you stay safe/follow the Highway Code.  Dogs are welcome but please ensure they are well-behaved and that any poo is picked up. 

All participants must complete an official registration, including the free spaces for under 12s.  

Where possible walkers should pre-register online.  On the day registration will be subject to availability.  Pre-registered walkers will receive a t-shirt to wear on the night and further t-shirts will be available (subject to availability) but sizes can only be guaranteed on a first come, first served basis. 

Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone arriving late. 

Entry fees are non-refundable. 

Online Entry will close at 11am on the 4th July.  

ON THE DAY 
It is your responsibility to be fit enough to complete 7.5 miles, it is a very flat walk.  Please make sure you have appropriate footwear.  

There is free on street parking on the roads opposite Clifton Hospital but the immediate roads nearby, Pershore and Queen Mary Avenue are restricted to residents. 

There is paid for parking on the hospital grounds. 

Please arrive in plenty of time if you still need to register and collect a t-shirt. 

The route will be marshalled and volunteers will be along the route in vehicles to ensure there are no issues. You will be issued with a phone number to use in case of emergencies. 

There will be a number of stops for you to be able to take a comfort break and re-fresh water bottles. 

It is not a timed event but please can you let race organisers know if during the walk you decide not to complete it so people are not waiting for you.

By registering for this event you agree that any photographs taken may be used for promotional purposes by Blue Skies. 

Blue Skies reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any point in the run up to the event.
