Throughout the Covid-19 crisis, Manchester Cares has worked tirelessly to tackle loneliness and isolation amongst older and younger people alike, reformulating our programmes to keep our community connected from a distance.

You can help make this possible by taking part in the 2021 Santa Run in Heaton Park, a 5K fun run raising money to prevent loneliness and isolation in the local community. It is the perfect way to get you, your friends, colleagues and family into the festive spirit. Get a team together and join us (no reindeer needed) 🎄 

Manchester Cares is a community network of older and younger people, coming together through shared interests to tackle loneliness and isolation, building a stronger sense of community. By fundraising for Manchester Cares, you will be helping to create long-lasting friendships across our city.

When: Sunday 5th December at 10:15am at Heaton Park
Registration fee: FREE, includes place at Run Heaton Park 5K, branded t-shirt, pin, Santa hat and beard.
Minimum fundraising target: £100 per person (£75 if you're part of a 5+ team!)
Distance: 5km. You can run it, jog it, or walk it, whatever you prefer.
