If you have not secured your place but would like to join the walks we welcome you to register on the day, any time between 8am and 11am.  The walk starts and finishes at Wakefield Hospice, Aberford Road, Wakefield, WF1 4TS.

At the start of 2021 hundreds of supporters knitted scarves and donated them to our charity. In April these were wrapped around Wakefield Hospice, symbolising how the Wakefield community continually care for families who need local hospice support. 

This October we invite you to join in our 'Wear the Care Sponsored Walks'.  On arrival at the event you can choose one of the scarves that were lovingly knitted, to keep you warm as you walk either five or ten miles raising funds for the families we support.  The scarf will then be yours to keep as a thank you for taking part in the event.

When you return to the hospice a warm welcome will await you from hospice staff and volunteers, along with refreshments (drinks and cake!)

The walks set off between 8am and 11am from Wakefield Hospice - you can choose the five or ten mile routes. We apologise but due to the routes being predominantly off road they are unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.  Dogs are welcome to take part and there is no minimum age limit.

Registration is £10 per person and thanks to event sponsorship from The Card Factory Foundation ALL your registration fee will go to Wakefield Hospice.  There is no minimum sponsorship amount to raise but any amount you can contribute will be gratefully received and you will be sent a certificate of thanks for doing so.
