Take part in the Tour de Cycle Sisters and help break down barriers to cycling for more women!

The Tour de Cycle Sisters is a 100km (62 miles) ride on Sunday 18th September 2022 through different Cycle Sisters boroughs and taking on the challenge of the iconic Box Hill in Surrey!

  • Starting at Palmers Green Mosque and ending at the Olympic VeloPark
  • Different options of riding independently in a small group for more confident riders or to be in a led group supported by a female Ride Leader
  • Riders will have up to 10 hours to complete the ride which is very realistic for group members who attend our intermediate rides (with some training)
  • Support vehicle on the ride including mechanical support
  • Regular stop points along the route including snacks, toilets and facilities to pray Zuhr
  • All participants will receive a medal and some food at the end to recognise your amazing achievement

The funds raised will be used to support work to break down barriers to cycling for more women like Sadaf through Cycle Sisters and The Bike Project’s work:

“I was very depressed and I thought I had no one to turn to and that I had nothing of my own. I was depending on someone for everything and asking for support again and again…Having a bike makes me feel mentally strong. It makes me happy. It gives me a sense of positivity and I start feeling better. ” Sadaf, Asylum Seeker from Pakistan

Cycle Sisters is an award-winning charity which has transformed the lives of hundreds of Muslim women. Through our local groups in 8 London boroughs, we create an inclusive and supportive space for Muslim women to discover the joy and freedom of cycling.

25% of the funds raised will be donated to The Bike Project’s Pedal Power project which offers refurbished second-hand bikes and cycle training for refugee women helping to address the particular challenges they experience including PTSD, social isolation and lack of opportunity.

Our event is in solidarity with the Rapha Women’s 100 on 18th September, a global day celebrating women in cycling, tasking thousands of cyclists worldwide to cycle 100km.
