Spesh's Legacy
19 March 2023 - 19 March 2030
Spesh's Legacy is an ongoing remembrance fundraiser to help our lifetime care medical dogs who may not otherwise have a chance at a happy life.
Spesh came into our care as a 10 week old pup, with a neurological condition and no guarantees on his future. Sharon one of the TRF team immedietly stepped up to care for this beautiful soul. At first he could hardly lift his little head, needed water syringed into his mouth and was hand fed several times a day.
His physical mobility reduced over the next few months however his happy demeanor flourished. He blossomed into a wonderful little dog and whilst his life was different to the average dog it was far from lacking.
Whilst his general mobility reduced his neck strength improved and he could drink from a bowl and steal food from his mums plate. His condition was never diagnosed due to the risk of giving him an anaesthetic and any diagnosis would have only been for the sake of giving his condition a name.
Spesh lived an extremely happy life, surrounded by love from his humans and the rest of the dogs that lived with him (that always included him in a game!). His tail was one of the waggiest you will ever see and he loved nothing more than giving everyone he met cuddles and kisses.
Sadly after a very short illness spesh passed away just after his 2nd Birthday and although he is no longer here with us in body his spirit will live on.
His legacy will be one of courage, bravery and above all loving the life - something a lot of people could learn from.
Spesh was one of a kind and we all miss him dearly.
