Try for Maggie's and take on our rugby themed fundraising fitness challenge this autumn!

It’s an annual SRM tradition to participate in various challenges for Maggie’s, working together as a team to raise much needed funds for those affected by cancer.

Since our partnership began back in 2016, we have achieved so much. We’ve built nine Maggie's centres across the UK, completed epic cycling, running, and walking challenges and shared homemade bakes for Kitchen Table Days.

Challenge yourself and be part of a team in Try for Maggie's, getting in the mood for the Rugby World Cup this autumn!

The challenge

We’re theming this year’s fitness challenge with the Rugby World Cup which kicks off on 8th September and finishes on the 25th October. Our campaign will run from 8th September – 6th October.

Working in teams of up to 15, each team must pledge to log a total 2163 miles during the 4-week period (144 miles each).

Each team’s overall aim is to virtually travel the distance from the Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh to Stade to Nice,
France
and then back home to Twickenham Stadium, London. which is approximately 2163 miles or 3481 km!

20 nations will play in this tournament, so we’re ideally looking for 20 teams.

Every pound you raise will help to fund Maggie’s vital support – for example raising £22 could pay for one visit to a Maggie’s centre, so someone with cancer can get expert psychological, practical, and financial support for free, from the moment they are diagnosed.

How to take part

  • Assign a team captain, select a team of up to 15 players and sign up below. Your team captain can create the team and select a name, which you'll be able to join.
