Since 2020, British Army soldiers from across the world have taken part in our annual Race the World – The Seven Continents Virtual Challenge raising over £35,000 for ABF The Soldiers’ Charity. Units have raced each other across the seven continents – cycling, tabbing, rowing, swimming and running – clocking up to an incredible 35,000km per unit each year whilst raising vital funds to help us support soldiers, veterans ands their immediate families in genuine need.

Race the World 2022 will start on 14th September 2022, and it’s sure to create some stiff competition! Battling to cover the distance of the continents, teams are expected to blaze a trail around the world to beat the competition, in addition to raising money for our charity.

Race the World is open to any Army unit, Regular and Reserve, Major and Minor. Units can choose which continents they complete within the race schedule, up to and including all seven continents. Prizes will be awarded for the first place in each individual continent, in addition to prizes for Gold, Silver and Bronze for those who complete all seven.

Fundraising efforts will be rewarded by distance bonuses during some stages of the race. Strava will be used to collect results via an online platform.

You can take part in Race the World from any location. We are used to supporting our fundraisers wherever they are deployed worldwide. Leader boards will be published regularly on the website alongside updates on social media.
