This is a truly unique experience for you to ascend the 131ft drop off the Port of Leith Distillery. And, what a view you'll have, with views across Edinburgh Skyline and of the historic Royal Yacht Britannia beside you! Standing proudly on the waterfront, the Port of Leith Distillery is the UK's first vertical distillery, a striking nine-story tower wedged into Edinburgh's historic harbour.

No experience necessary - expert guidance will be provided throughout.

Event Details

Date: Saturday 9th May 2026

Location: Port of Leith Distillery, Leith, Edinburgh

Restrictions:

  • Maximum Weight of 18.10 Stone/120kg
  • You must be over 11 years old to take part in this event and ages 11 – 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who has given written consent.
  • Participants are required to climb 2 ladders and via a roof hatch to access the abseil platform. 
  • All participants will receive an MND Scotland t-shirt

We’re asking all our participants to raise a minimum £150 in sponsorship. We will provide all the support you need to help you meet and beat your fundraising goal.
