Our generous partners at National Grid are taking part in a skydive for the Aston Villa Foundation.

14 brave individuals will be braving the jump from up to 15,000ft in the air.

They will be making the trip on 17th April to Skydive Langar in Nottingham.

Each individual has promised to raise a miniumum of £400 for the Foundation. 

Be sure to wish them good luck and a donation to help them reach their target.

Our skydive comes off the back of the announcment of our new STEM provision - take a minute to read the article below 

"The Aston Villa Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a brand-new STEM provision as part its work in Primary and Secondary Schools in Birmingham, funded by National Grid.

Building on an existing provision, STEM offers schools a six to eight-week programme, beginning in the spring term. Primary school aged children will be introduced to how technology can impact their lives in a positive and safe manner.

Through practical delivery, lesson content encourages creativity and curiosity around STEM and coding, using advancing technology in the form of programmable Sphero Bolts and Kubos to complete football-related challenges and tasks.

Secondary school provision advances into exploring jobs within sport through employability workshops, and how STEM skills are used within them. The programme will also launch an exclusive offering to female students, encouraging increasing participation from females through STEM-based activities, which could lead into STEM-related employment, bridging the gap between males and females in STEM roles...
