You are invited to join Cancer Fund for Children at Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 4th March 2023 for a 1-mile, family friendly walk in silly or uncomfortable shoes to reflect the often-difficult journey that children and young people can have when navigating cancer.

Please note that online registraion is now closed for our in-person event at Antrim Castle Gardens on Saturday 4th March. Don't worry though, you can still join us and register on the day! Our registration desk open at 1.30pm in the Events Pavilion at Antrim Castle Gardens with the walk starting promptly at 2pm. It will cost £5 to join us and under 16's go free. We will also have a raffle on the day. Parking within the grounds of the gardens is limited, so consider parking at Castle Mall.

Join us in person

Join us on Saturday 4th March in Antrim Castle Gardens and put your best foot forward in support of young people impacted by cancer. Its costs just £5 per adult and under 16s go free.

We will take on a 1-mile route of the beautiful grounds starting from the Events Pavilion. Registration opens at 1.30pm with walk start at 2pm. Silly or uncomfortable shoes are encouraged!

The ground is flat gravel and concrete path that should be accessible for prams and wheelchairs so bring along all the family!

There is no set minimum sponsorship for this event but we ask that everyone raise what they can in support of our vital work to ensure no child has to face cancer alone 💛 We can provide sponsorship forms, balloons, buckets, banners... whatever you may need to support your fundraising efforts! Once you sign up here through Enthuse, you will also be automatically set up with an online fundraising page so make sure to share it far and wide with family, friends, and colleagues.

Host your own event

Would love to get involved but can't join us? Host your very own Mile in My Shoes event at a location and on a day that suits you best!

Walk a mile around your office building with colleagues, your playground at school with pupils and teachers, your club grounds with your team mates, or in a local park with family and friends. We need as many people on board as possible this March to ensure that we can continue to be there for young people and their families when they need us the most, so it is time to spring to action wherever you may across the island of Ireland!

You will receive a free fundraising pack with tips on how to make the most out of your day and our Fundraising Team are only a phone call or email away for any extra materials or advice you may need.

Once signed up, you will be automatically set up with an online fundraising page so make sure to put it to good use and share as far and wide as possible!
