Get ready for another incredible Lark Rise Bike Ride! A fun, family-friendly event, this ride takes you through the gorgeous historic landscape that inspired Flora Thompson's Lark Rise to Candleford.
With three route options to chose from, there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for a relaxed ride or a real off-road challenge. The event starts and finishes at Castle Field, Mixbury, NN13 5RG (use what3words spearing.myself.ribcage) with refreshment stops along the way and a BBQ fundraiser waiting for you at the finish line!
Join us for a wonderful day cycling through the stunning countryside of Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Bukinghamshire.
This years' event is taking place on Sunday 17th May to raise funds for the brain tumour charity brainstrust. We are a charity who work tirelessly to support people living with a brain tumour so they feel less afraid, less alone, more in control and more confident in their care.
Check-In & Start Times:
- Short route (approx. 14 miles): 9:00am - 10:00am (ideal for families)
- Medium route (approx. 25 miles): 8:30am - 10:00am
- Long route(approx 40 miles): 8:30am - 9:30am, latest (for experienced riders)
Enjoy a ride through scenic country lanes, abcient tracks, and bridleways, passing through beautiful parkland and rolloing fields.
The event promises to be a great family day out with a wonderful atmosphere and we would love to see you there!
Entry to the event is free should you choose to fundraise prior to the event. Should you not reach your target you will be required to pay an entry fee on the day of the event (see details below);
- £16 adult entry fee payable on the day unless you raise £30 in donations
- £7 child entry fee payable on the day unless you raise £10 in donations
- £35 family entry fee (family of 2 adults & 2-3 children) payable on the day unless you raise £50 in donations
Important Notes:
- All those aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Parking is avaliable on-site at Castle Field.
- Services stand down at 4pm.
