LATA Challenge 100 is our annual fundraising challenge, bringing together the Latin American travel community to support the LATA Foundation, promote wellbeing, and celebrate the incredible destinations of Latin America.

From 1 August to 25 September 2026, we'll be taking on the mighty Amazon River.

Our goal is simple: 100+ people complete 100+km each and raise £100+ each.

Registration Fee

One registration for the LATA Challenge 2026 fundraising challenge.

£2.00

Whether you walk, run, cycle or swim, every kilometre completed will help us travel the length of Latin America's most iconic river while raising more than £10,000 for community and conservation projects across the region.

The challenge is designed to be inclusive. Complete your 100km however you like, at your own pace, using any combination of activities. Whether you're an experienced athlete or simply enjoy regular walks, everyone is welcome.

Follow Our Journey Along the Amazon

As we make our way along the Amazon, we'll share regular updates showing our collective progress on the river, alongside stories about the wildlife, landscapes, cultures and tourism experiences found along the route.

We'll also celebrate our participants with weekly individual and team leaderboards, creating a fun, friendly competition while showcasing the strength of the LATA community.

Get Involved

We encourage LATA members to enter company teams and challenge one another, but the event is open to everyone. Friends, family and supporters of Latin America are all invited to take part.

Smaller organisations can join forces to create teams, and every participant will help us get one step closer to our fundraising target.

At the end of the challenge, we'll recognise achievements including:

  • Highest fundraising individual
  • Highest fundraising team
  • Greatest distance completed (individual)
  • Greatest distance completed (team)

Why Your Support Matters

Every pound raised will help the LATA Foundation fund community and conservation projects across Latin America.

The Foundation supports practical, grassroots initiatives that benefit both local communities and the places visitors come to experience. Your fundraising could help to:

  • Train local eco-guides to lead visitors while sharing knowledge of wildlife, culture and conservation.
  • Support responsible tourism training for local boat operators.
  • Improve visitor facilities through trail signage, maps and interpretation materials.
  • Help communities develop sustainable tourism experiences that generate income while protecting their natural and cultural heritage.

Together, we can make a lasting difference while celebrating the extraordinary destinations that bring our industry together.

Join the LATA Challenge 100, get active, explore the Amazon from wherever you are, and help create positive change across Latin America.
