Helping Herts Week is one special week in July when Hertfordshire comes together to make an even bigger difference for local children and young people.

During the week, every £1 raised will be able to access Helping Herts’ enhanced funding pot making your donations to your selected charity go further! 

From community events and workplace challenges to individual fundraisers and bold new ideas, this is your chance to get involved in something bigger. Whether you’re hosting an event, taking on a personal challenge, or donating to someone taking part, Helping Herts Week turns local generosity into county-wide change.

Fundraising Ideas:

Community & Individual Ideas

• Bake for Herts – cake sale at school, work, gym or in the village hall

• Give Up to Give Back – coffee, alcohol, takeaways, screen time for the week

• £5 Friday for Herts – ask friends, family or colleagues to donate a fiver

• Dress Down / Dress Bright Day – donations to take part

• Sponsored Silence / Steps / Plank / Readathon

• Neighbourhood Coffee Morning or garden gathering

• Quiz Night at home, pub or online
   

Workplace Ideas​

• Step or Miles Challenge – individual or team leaderboard

• Bake-Off or Cook-Off competition

• Charity Raffle or Auction

• Lunch & Learn with a Difference – donation to attend
