From the very beginning this event has been a celebration of what makes the North East great; thousands of supporters lining the course, hundreds of volunteers helping you along the way and runners like you, who embody dedication and determination whatever their reason for running. So come and join us on a 13.1 mile journey from Newcastle's city centre to the coast in South Shields; all live on the BBC!
