The Challenge
In 2024, a team of 10 runners took part in GOAL USA’s inaugural Great Ethiopian Run Challenge, raising nearly $200,000. It was such a success, we’re doing it again in 2025. On Sunday, November 23rd, join GOAL USA for the Great Ethiopian Run on the roof of Africa and help save the lives of family facing hunger and disease. We’ll depart the US on November 18th and arrive as a team on November 19th, train together, experience Ethiopia's cultural traditions, and visit some of GOAL’s groundbreaking programs across the country

Beginning in downtown Addis Ababa, you’ll be joined by more than 40,000 other competitors. The run is a challenging - but with training, very accessible - 10km (6.2 miles) at 8,000 feet above sea level. Along with some of the world’s most renowned athletes (including Haile Gebrselassie and Richard Nerurkar) there will be a huge variety of runners of all age groups taking part. There will be a wonderful atmosphere as thousands of spectators line the streets for the event and many millions more watch the event live on television.
