The Manchester DKMS Dragon Boat Challenge

Tilbury Douglas are proud to be supporting the event to raise much needed funds for the invaluable work DKMS do. The event will be a great, fun way to raise awareness & fundraise. 

Join the Tilbury Douglas team to race in genuine Chinese dragon boats that have been especially imported from China. Team work will be vital if we want to get to the Grand Final, and remember - over the distance we race (200 meters), fitness is not a key factor; it's all about the technique! 

DKMS registers potential donors through three simple cheek swabs. Once on the global registry, you can be called to donate your lifesaving stem cells to anyone, anywhere in the world. The more people on the registry, the more second chances of life for people with blood cancer.

It costs DKMS £40 to register each potential lifesaver, and they rely on the generosity of supporters to cover this cost. The money raised through the DKMS Dragon Boat Challenge will help DKMS to register hundreds more donors and offer more hope to those searching for their matching lifesaver.
