The Corinthian Challenge Charity Race will be held again this year, however, instead of a series of races, it will be one big race being held at the home of The Classics, The Curragh Racecourse on 21st July 2024.

Applications are now open and participants who join this event will not only get to immerse themselves in the world of horse racing but also contribute to a noble cause.  The event promises a thrilling and unforgettable experience as they experience firsthand what it takes to be a jockey. The bond formed between riders, the exhilaration of the race, and the satisfaction of making a difference by supporting IIJ make this opportunity truly special. Join us in this exciting initiative and make a difference while having the time of your life!

To participate in this charity race series, each rider is asked to raise a minimum of €3,000 through sponsorship and/or fundraising.  All funds raised will go to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.  The Series is limited to non professional riders and those who have an A1 licence can apply once they have no more than five winners. Riders will have to undergo an interview and training day with a view to receiving their licence to take part from the Racing Academy and Centre of Education, RACE in Co. Kildare. Key requirements for candidates are that you have a good ability to ride and are willing to train on racehorses and source your own horses privately.

The Corinthian challenge has been labelled by previous participants as “extraordinary”, “the most amazing experience of my life”, “thrilling”, “the ultimate personal test”, “a dream come true a thousand times over”, and “epic”.
