The estimated number of people directly bereaved by suicide a year is 34,146. That is our number at Suicide&Co, and that is the size of our target community each year who could need access to our services. We created the 34k Challenge to raise awareness of how big our community is and to raise funds to help those bereaved by suicide access our Counselling Service!

On the 10th of September which is World Suicide Prevention Day, you can walk, run, cycle , skip or swim 34km. You can do it alone or as part of a team (maybe even relay style!) It’s flexible so that you can tailor it to your capabilities.

This year we have a huge goal of recruiting 34 challengers who will each aim to fundraise £1000, meaning we would raise a total of £34,000, enabling us to provide 1133 counselling sessions to people bereaved by suicide!
